GRAND NATIONAL HASH
11th April 2015
We gathered at the starting tape at Moby Dick’s bar in Weymouth and placed our bets with Rosie.
It was then “They’re Off!” as we raced around the town jumping (or climbing over) as many fences as there are in the real Grand National (although the Hares seemed a bit confused about the number).
The race was watched from the bar with a sweepstake being organised by Gravelrash just before the race.
Many Down! Downs! were awarded afterwards for such categories as best winners, worst losers, best fancy dress, “Why come dressed as a Peaky Blinder?”, etc.
Rosie collected our betting slips and cash.
The first ‘fence’.
