We arrived at the time of the annual Horse Festival (Feria) when the Andalusian people show off their horses and carriages during a week of festivities and glamour.

Parading the horses and carriages. 

The traditional Spanish dresses demand a very flat stomach and slender hips!

The Horsemen and horsewomen show off their skills in the bullring.

The horse has been trained so that the end of the pole stays in the same spot as the horse walks around. Not recommended if the horse has diarrhoea!

Riding side saddle looks difficult. This horse had been trained to jump high from a standing start - it is caught in mid-air. A dance performed with grace by both horse and dancer.
