BOF and Organgrinder set a 'figure of eight' Hash around Cerne Abbas which - tantalisingly - brought both Main and Mini to within 100 metres of the pub before setting off again into the countryside.

A starting circle warmed up with a performance of 'The Grand Old Duke Of York'.

The start was a disaster when the Main managed to get around the bars laid in the village to pick up the end of the trail but, having gone quite some distance, they realised the Hare was elsewhere and reversed direction to find her.

There was a lot of splashing in the River Cerne and the children enjoyed using a swing over the river.

We welcomed two visitors from Oxford Hash with their baby - our youngest Hasher today.

The weather was perfect and the countryside and historic village much appreciated.
